FLUSH CONNECTION:

Usually a 1/4 NPT connection in the lower housing that facilitates purging of the diaphragm seal process cavity.

LOWER HOUSING:

The portion of the diaphragm seal on the process side of the diaphragm that contains the process media (a wetted part).

UPPER HOUSING:

The portion of the diaphragm seal on the instrument side of the diaphragm that houses the fill fluid. Usually a non-wetted part.   

WETTED:

Comes into direct contact with the process media
